Julie’s up-to-date knowledge of compliance regulations and ability to communicate complex audits gives clients the information and advice they need to make well-informed decisions.

Julie Baird is a Senior Executive with MSL. She has over 29 years of experience in public accounting and has an advanced level of knowledge of governmental and not-for-profit industry standards. Her ability to communicate the results of complex audits and maintain a current knowledge of compliance regulations is an asset to her clients.

Julie has extensive experience providing consulting and assurance services to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, mental health facilities, continuing care retirement facilities, HUD projects and not-for-profit organizations that receive federal and state funding. She has performed the technical review of numerous governmental and not-for-profit audits, and has considerable experience with governmental audits under the Uniform Guidance, with special reporting requirements for entities receiving state and federal funding, and with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reporting requirements.

Julie keeps abreast of Yellow Book, the Uniform Guidance, and HUD reporting requirements, and is an active member of and participates in the FICPA and AICPA Not-for-Profit Conferences. She is also an active member of the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center and a presenter on current not-for-profit reporting requirements and compliance standards.

Julie was recently recognized by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce with the Banking/Finance Award at the Salute to Miami’s Leaders Awards luncheon.
